Syntro Persona AI

Persona AI Scaled from Prototype to Production in 12 Months with Syntro

Persona AI builds humanoid robots for heavy industry, and as the development of the platform advanced, the task of managing a growing list of suppliers and components began to scale beyond spreadsheets. In need of an advanced system, Persona AI turned to Syntro. Today, Persona AI runs its entire supply chain function, including material planning, sourcing and purchasing, on Syntro, enabling Persona AI to iterate robot design with rapid speed.

Design Revisions Caught Against Live POs

$150K

Rework Avoided

In June 2025, Persona AI hired Brian Davis as Head of Global Manufacturing to take its robots from lab prototypes to production. Nic Radford, Co-Founder and CEO, and Jide Akinyode, Co-Founder and COO, gave Brian one priority: speed, measured by how fast Persona AI could iterate on its robots and scale production.

Persona AI was building out its core systems and had tested a long list of tools. None could keep pace with a design that changed daily, so Brian became the human glue between engineering and suppliers. He spent 3 to 5 hours a day confirming current revs with engineers, chasing suppliers whose deliveries rarely matched their quotes, and copying commit dates from his inbox into a hand-built tracker. That tracker was the only way for Persona AI to know the quantities of robots the team was cleared to build.

Brian met Syntro co-founder Rohit Gupta when Syntro was still an early prototype. Minutes into their first conversation, Brian pulled up his tracker to show where his mornings went and found Syntro to be a product built for his needs. Persona AI signed on as one of Syntro’s first design partners, confident that a product built around how its team actually worked would carry it from NPI into production.

Persona AI’s material plan lives in Syntro, tied to the live BOM. The build plan explodes into material demand, nets against inventory on hand and on order, and works back from each robot’s material-complete date. Brian gets instant answers to the questions every design change forces: what he can build and by when, and what it will take to stay on plan.

Reclaiming 75% of Admin Time for Strategy

With the tactical work running through Syntro, Brian spends his time on supplier strategy and the production ramp. How Persona AI purchases now lives in a shared system instead of one person’s head.

Syntro is the fastest speed to value I’ve seen from any vendor. It’s saved us over $150K in rework and has given me time back for what matters: building the supplier relationships Persona AI needs to scale.

Clear-to-Build in Minutes, Not Days

Every month, Brian spent 2 days in spreadsheets working out what Persona AI could build and what was still missing. In October, Syntro ran the same check across the entire BOM in minutes. It flagged two gaps, cables and plastic parts, and cleared everything else.

+

Over $150K in Rework Avoided

Syntro checks every BOM revision against open orders the moment it lands. In week one, it caught 2 revisions on POs that had already gone out and has flagged 4 more since.

+

Every Design Change, Priced Out

The plan knows which parts are shared across products and what each revision puts at risk. When a change hits material Persona AI already owns, Brian sees the cost of scrapping, reworking or running it out, and makes the call the same day.

+

Buying on Real Lead Times, Not Quoted Ones

Persona AI’s suppliers delivered later than quoted 65% of the time. Syntro plans on actual delivery history, so long-lead parts surface weeks ahead and Persona AI buys as late as is safe, keeping old-revision material off the shelf.

+

A Confirmed Date on Every Open PO

Supplier emails flow straight into each PO line, and anything drifting past its commit gets flagged automatically. Brian no longer copies dates into a tracker by hand or tracks supplier performance against it.

+

A Stable Supplier Base, Built on Data

Every supplier is scored on commit, delivery, quality and responsiveness. That record is how Brian is narrowing a broad pool of trial suppliers to a dependable core and deciding where to dual-source critical parts.

Brian will run S&OP out of Syntro, giving suppliers a firm commit window and a longer forecast so they can plan capacity without stocking material that might go obsolete. When Persona AI brings on a contract manufacturer, it will hand over a living plan of what to order and when. And when the next generation is ready, Persona AI will know exactly where every part stands, so the call on the old design happens the same day.
